Wing Chun Kung Fu is a southern Chinese, Buddhist based fighting system characterised by straight punching and low line kicks. The stances are shallow and the body is held upright.
Guarding and attacking along the centre line with lightning fast vertical punches is the Kung Fu system’s trademark. The practice of Chi Sao or sticky hands is a sensitivity training exercise which enables the practitioner to decrease the perception and response time once contact has been made with an opponent.
Although the Kung Fu fighting techniques are extremely aggressive, the teaching methods produce a student who is calm and confident, thus providing a balance of soft and hard, Yin and Yang.
