Grading Structure
The grading structure consists of three coloured sashes Black, Gold and Red. When a student begins training, they wear a plain black sash. There are ten standard Levels to the Open-hand Grading system. The first Nine levels are shown by nine gold plum blossoms on the black sash. Upon completing their level Ten Grading, the student is awarded a Gold Sash.
Assistant Instructor
At any time during the first Nine levels a student may be eligible for a red plum Blossom on their Black sash. This is to represent an Assistant Instructor.
Teaching degrees
Once a student has completed their level Ten Grading and awarded their Gold Sash, an instructor training full time can apply for five teaching degrees, over a Ten-year period. One red plum blossom is awarded every Two years the practitioner is teaching and training in the school. When all five degrees are completed, a red sash is awarded.
Senior instructor (Sifu)
A senior instructor (red sash) is the highest rank possible this is achieved through the teaching degrees. A senior instructor must be fluent in all aspects of the Wing Chun system from open hand to weapons as well as theory.

Weapons Grading Structure
The Weapons grading structure consists of three coloured plum Blossoms Grey, Brown and Cream. Each colour represents a different Weapon. Grey representing the Butterfly Swords and has 5 levels, Brown representing the Long pole and has 3 levels and Cream representing the Rattan Ring and Iron Ring and has 3 levels. The Weapons plum Blossoms are placed at the opposite end of the sash.
Sash Structure
